A map from Louis Charles Desnos' atlas 'Atlas General et elementaire', depicting Africa north of the equator, with on both sides of the map an explanatory text, but except a description of the Congo, it is a description of the east coast of Africa not depicted in this map. The geographiccontent of the interior is limited to a few of the rivers and with the Nile river originating in the Mountains of the Moon with two small lakes.
