First Dutch edition of this description of Russia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and the Arctic region, with interesting details on whaling, translated from the English and greatly enlarged by the Remonstrant minister Matthias van Goch. The plates include a plan of St. Petersburg, maps of Russia, Sweden, Denmark and the North Pole, as well as several illustrations of whales, and portraits of the rulers of the regions described. Binding chafed, stamp on verso of title-page. A very good untrimmed copy.
