Description: Cat. Russica C 148; Saakes 5 (1810), p. 101, (1811), p. 213; not in Cat. NHSM. Very rare Dutch translation of John Carr's travels round the Baltic, through Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Prussia and part of Germany, in the year 1804. The original first edition appeared in London in 1805. Sir John Carr (1772-1832) was an English barrister, illustrator, poet and traveller throughout Europe. Fine set of this rare translation.
