Incunable woodcut.59 x 41 cms. Black and white. Text in upper part and one landscape view representing the capital of Bavaria.The verso with text with some figures and the representation of one comet.This is the leaf nr 226 of the Nuremberg Chronicle that was the most important book with topographical representations published in the XV century. Many cities were represented in this book for the first time.The book was a success in both the latin and german issues. Michael Wolgemut was in care of the execution of the woodcuts used for the publication and Albrecht Durer was apprentice at this time at Wolgemut´s workshop.
MInor restorations at central fold. Fine quality of the printing and the paper.
