Rare first edition of a linguistic work on the Tangut or Tibetan alphabet by Cassianus (da Macerata) Beligatti (1708-1791) and edited by Giovanni Cristoforo Amaduzzi (1740-1792), the director of the congregation. The alphabet is printed in the Tangut characters. Cassiano da Macerata was sent on a mission to Tibet in 1738.
