The Battle of Stavuchany (in Ukraine), fought between a Russian army commanded by von Munnich and the Turks in August 1739, part of Russo-Austrian-Turkish War (1735-9). The Russian victory (despite having double the casualties of the Turks) allowed them to capture the Turkish fortress of Khotyn; however the Austrians withdrew from the war, negating all Russia's military achievements.
