The very attractive map of the empire of the mythical Prester John, originally placed east of India later in East Africa. The geographical information was taken from Gastaldi's wall Map of Africa of 1564.From the extremely rare 1609 Spanish edition of Abraham Ortelius’ ‘Theatrum Orbis Terrarum’, published by Vrientius.
