The plate was etched from a water-colour drawing. The house is the Palazzo Resonica, belonging to Count Minervi.
The title referes to the stay of the Poet Browning in Venice.

The activity starts horizontal at the crowdy canal and then goes upwards in the left section following the porch roof, flags and groups of people on the balcony.
One of the very largest and probably most impressive etchng from his Venice work.

The plate is in perfect condition.
