Description: Pieter van der Aa was a prolific publisher. He published a.o. ' Naauwkeurge versameling der gedenkwaardigste zee- en land-reysen', a series of accounts of voyages (1706-08) and ' Galerie agreable du monde', completed in 1729.A scene from Jean Ribaut's first voyage to Florida made in 1562. Ribaut makes a landfall on the coast of Florida at Wolf's Kaap. (Cape Wolf), so called because the natives fled leaving a wolf on the spit.

Colouring: uncoloured
Condition: excellent condition, strong impression.
