Folio(44x32 cm).VIII, 142 pgs and 37 plates and 57 engravings in text.Original half leather binding.Expertly washed and restored so the color plates saved the brightness.10 of the plates are in color.Good copy of this rare work difficult to find. The author was diplomat and archeologist, staying two years in Syria and Palestine.This is the first accurate survey of the mosque. Ref Tobler p.187, Blackmer 1485.
