First edition of this impressive work on Syria and the Holyland containing a portrait etching of Sir William Sidney Smith and nineteen very fine aquatints. Last page a dedication whereby half the page is consumed by the coat of arms of Sir William Sidney Smith. Some minor spotting on some pages and one print traces of foxing. Modern marbled boards.
